America: In the NRA’s Back Pocket
Guns have become the latest issue to divide American government and the American people. It’s a very loaded issue with groups on both sides of the issue consistently standing firm in their ideologies. On one side there is the pro-gun groups who say that restricting the guns that Americans can buy would directly take away our Second Amendment right to bear arms. This same group tends to call President Obama a Marxist, Hitler, or a king who wants to run America like a monarchy. Then on the other side of the coin, there is the group who wants to control guns by creating more background checks, banning assault rifles and high capacity magazines among other things.
It’s undeniable that America has a gun problem. The argument that the only way to protect Americans from bad people with guns is to have more good people with guns is ridiculous. Armed guards in schools does not create a sense of safety for children. The NRA recently released an advertisement essentially calling President Obama a hypocrite for not wanting these armed guards in schools but for allowing his two daughters to have armed guards with them. Okay, here’s the thing with this despicable argument. The President of the United States and his family need protection 24/7 it’s as simple as that. That’s not a gun issue that’s a common sense issue.
The NRA is a powerful force. They keep politicians in their pockets, shovel a ton of money into elections that will help them, and release propagandistic ads like the one about President Obama’s family. They are a true problem and driving force behind the gun issue. Some politicians are more worried about having an “A” rating from the NRA then they are about increasing America’s credit rating with Standard and Poor’s. The past few weeks we have heard the visceral rhetoric from Republicans saying that we need to keep our guns because we have a right. Yes, we have a right, but no American needs a semi-automatic assault rifle. Hunters and sportsmen should have their guns because its a sport. Go into the woods and have a great time – shoot deer, bears, targets, trees, whatever you want. Even these sportsmen will admit that the average Joe does not need a high magazine weapon. Most law enforcement will agree with this notion as well.
Like most other issues in America today, there is a large majority who are using common sense to understand issues. However, there is a small radical minority that is taking things to an extremist view that distorts both truth and reality. alright this article could be good…. you wrote the exact same article twice lol, besides that obvious point lol, it brings up a great amount of discussion,
I am pro-gun ownership anytype of gun, anytype of arm, if one man is allowed to use it another man should be allowed to use it, I excersize my 2nd amendment, and my 2nd amendment does not have any exclusions in it’s text, therefore i dont need to add any either. I am also tired of looking at pictures of mother’s against something. its getting old, this isnt sexist but mother’s you need to take a step back and control your emotions yes this is sad, yes there has been “Televised” and mainly “Televised” information that has shed negative light on this, but where are these mother’s getting their information from? If t is mainly the public news that is being broadcasted everyday on television, you have to look at other sources, and ask questions about certan things, mother’s do you truly believe an autistic kid has that type of aim? because if i recall looking back at “The New’s” when the Virginia Tech incident occured he pretty much had to have an amazing track record to get into that school, so i will state he must be pretty smart right? And even after his first time shooting a gun he was not able to kill that many people with that kind of accuracy. And i know you might say well autistic children can sometimes be good at doing only one thing, that is true, however it was his first time shooting a gun, usually they have had previous practice, and that autistic nonsense is bull crap here is a forum that will help you understand a little more of what some parents are doing because of the rcent events of sandy hook and maybe some of them may enlighten your thoughts (http://www.defensivecarry.com/forum/general-firearm-discussion/154309-children-autism-shooting.html) With that being said you may need to be more aware now that what you here on T.V. just like what you read on the internet may be not all actuality or as factual as it may look, we all have been sculpted to believe that certain things should look a certain way like an explosion we all basically look at an explosion as if there should be a big fire and a huge gust of smoke and at least the color of red and orange, explosions can happen in many different ways however and in many different colors and they can be both big or small or have smoke or little smoke. Maybe it is time for us to start questioning the news a little more and stop waiting to here what they have to say because maybe they arent showing what is truy accurate. With that being said I am sorry for the events that have happened at Sandy Hook, do i think that guns should be taken away or certain guns be taken away absolutley not, a gun is used for protection, and to hunt nothing else therefore when you are restricting my 2nd amendment you are restricting my protection, and my ability to hunt, and the people who have been causing these problems have all had social or medical disorders determined by the government which is quite intriguing to say the least, in which stated in that article i posted before with women who have children with autism one says they don’t even know how he could drive a car and or even plan this out, interesting isn’t it. Do not let the TV influence your decision on gun control use your knowledge and your common sense to guide you if it was in the constitution and the constitution is there to protect the people then why change it, it wont protect us anymore with that amendment added to it to say the least and my reasoning is because guns do not kill people people kill people, people pull the trigger, a gun does not shoot by itslf unless programmed too. Ask questions why are they going to take guns and why is this needed rather then agreeing with the News and automatically assuming you are an expert on autism or an expert on guns at all without hearing from outside sources, we are all on the same team everyone one of us in this crazy life we live, lets all ask questions together and we will go far, this is one man’s opinion against the restrictions on the constitution. thank you
